MCCP Holds First Round of “Clinical Pharmacy Challenge”
On August 22, MCCP held the first round of the ACCP “Clinical Pharmacy Challenge” at the School of Pharmacy.
The Clinical Pharmacy Challenge offers eligible student teams the opportunity to compete against teams from other schools, with the top eight teams advancing to the live quarterfinal competition at the 2013 ACCP Annual Meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico in October.
Each round consisted of questions offered in the three distinct segments:
- Trivia/Lightning
- Clinical Case
- Jeopardy-style
Five teams of 3 students each competed locally.
Teams receive instructions from Dr. Kayla Stover.
Each team works together to answer clinical questions.
The local winners were the team of Josh Terkeurst, Katie Langley and Dylan Lindsay. They will represent the School in an online competition against teams from other schools to determine who progresses to the next round.
Congratulations to all the students who competed and good luck to our local representatives!
